Liberty Insurance is a private health insurer that started in 2013. It originated from a merger between a US based firm, Liberty Mutual and 2 India based firms, DP Jindal Group and Enam securities. Liberty offers a solid comprehensive health insurance policy, which features 4 separate plans covering multiple sum insured options and different types of benefits to meet consumer needs.

What Makes Liberty Insurance Insurance Stand Out?

Liberty Insurance Insurance stands out as a health insurer primarily due to the health connect policy. This policy covers a wide range of sum insured and benefits for consumers. The plans under the policy include: E-Connect, Basic, Elite, and Supreme. Further, Liberty Health has policies such as the Junta Personal Accident policy and Health Connect Supra that can be added to the existing plans for individual or family use. These plans help Liberty Insurance position themselves for those that are looking for additional benefits along with their base insurance.Additionally, the policy allows for a 10% increase on the base sum insured after every claim free year of a maximum sum insured increase of 100%.

Liberty Insurance Insurance Premium Averages

Like other health insurers in India, Liberty Insurance charges a range of premiums depending on the age of the primary insured individual and the policy's sum insured. For instance, the older the individual the more expensive the premium. This works the same way with high sum insured amounts. The sum insured amount is the amount that the insurance company is obligated to cover for the patient per policy period. In the toggles below, we show the monthly premium depending on the primary insured indvidual's age and the sum insured amount. We also break out each plan's price based on their designation as individual and family plans.

Individual Health Insurance Plans

Individual health insurance insurance plans are typically utilized by single consumers seeking health insurance. Liberty Insurance offers plans that have wide ranges of sum insured, making them available to all types of consumers. For example, the Supreme Plan offers sum insured ranging from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 1,500,000.

There are 4 comprehensive individual health plans offered by Liberty Insurance, which are great for individual coverage. The E-Connect plan offers the least amount of sum insured options (Rs. 300,000 to Rs. 750,000) and offers consumers with comprehensive coverage that every patient needs—from in patient treatment to donor expenses. The Basic plan offers a wider sum insured range (Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 1,000,000) for consumers to choose from with slightly better benefits than the E-Connect plan. Next, the Elite plan offers a similar range of coverage and sum insured; however, the range is from Rs. 300,000 to Rs. 1,500,000 with a great amount of coverage. Exceeding the Basic plan. Finally, the premium plan is the Supreme plan. This plan has the largest sum insured coverage (Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 1,500,000) and the best benefits compared to the other three plans. Family Health Insurance Plans

Family health insurance plans are great to provide health coverage to both immediate and extended family. While looking for family plans, it is important to purchase based on the sum insured amount for your plan. For larger families or those with more pre-existing health conditions, it is prudent to opt for a plan that offers high sum insured. However, if you have a smaller or younger family, it might be better to apply for lower sum insured. This is because you are less likely to require a large sum insured, due to the lower health risks that a relatively young family would generally encounter. The most comprehensive plan offered is the Supreme Plan as it offers the most benefits and has the widest range of sum insured among all Liberty Insurance plans.

The 4 comprehensive family health insurance plans offered by Liberty Insurance Insurance are great for individual coverage. The E-Connect plan offers the least amount of sum insured options (Rs. 300,000 to Rs. 750,000) and offers families the comprehensive coverage that every patient needs—from in patient treatment to donor expenses. The Basic plan offers a wider sum insured range (Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 1,000,000) for consumers to choose from with slightly better benefits than the E-Connect plan. Liberty Insurance Review: Benefits

Liberty Insurance Insurance offers their customers a number of health insurance plans that cover various health needs. By selecting the correct healthcare policy, consumers are able to select the perfect amount of coverage to meet their needs— with the benefits that they require most. All plans offer Basic benefits like in-patient treatment, day care treatment, second opinion and domiciliary hospitalisation. A special feature that is offered by the policy is a restoration of sum insured to take care of future claims.
